Hi, I'm Louise...

an independent celebrant who loves creating beautiful, personalised ceremonies. I'm based in Sutton Coldfield/North Birmingham and I conduct weddings, renewal of vows, funeral ceremonies and naming ceremonies all over the West Midlands, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire (or anywhere in the world given expenses).

I broke through childhood shyness by becoming a professional singer. Knowing how it feels to be nervous it has always been important to me to put people make other people feel comfortable. Performing and teaching singing developed skills that are very helpful to me as a celebrant. My ability to put people at ease and give them confidence in me and themselves is often what my clients love about me.

My garden is my happy place, not just because I drink wine on summer evenings there but because it’s where I find inner peace through creating a beautiful space filled with colour and sounds of nature. It is my greatest joy in life apart from the pride I have in my two adult sons.

I consider it a huge privilege to be invited to support a couple or family in planning and delivering a ceremony that's perfectly suited to their individual style, character and beliefs.

My ideal clients are people who are sincere and caring but don’t like waffle and fuss. They want someone who really pays attention to what they are saying and delivers what they want. They want a beautiful ceremony presented with simplicity, honesty and a touch of humour (where appropriate).

Working with a

Celebrant


Independent celebrants create fully bespoke ceremonies according to the wishes and values of each couple or family. Whether you're planning a wedding ceremony, renewal of vows or funeral service, I will work closely with you to create the most perfect and memorable of occasions.

I offer tailored services that focus totally on your needs and values, rather than my own views. Services can be non-religious, but I’m also happy to include prayers, religious readings and hymns if required. I also offer complimentary mindfulness and hypnotherapy recordings if required to help cope with any anxiety or stress in the run up to the day.

ceremony services

I began my working life as a professionally trained singer so I always lead the hymns at a funeral service and still perform as a soloist at church services or crematoriums. Many people book me because of my singing as it adds a very special extra something to the ceremony.

Many people I’ve worked with have also found my mindfulness and hypnotherapy recordings really helpful for coping with stress, anxiety, sleep and public speaking.

I offer a ceremony writing only service to those wishing to use a family member or friend to deliver the service with guidance on every aspect.

Some celebrants that work with as many clients as they can fit into their diary. Sadly this is often at the expense of quality and care. I don’t write from templates and genuinely enjoy taking time to get to know people, what they want and making their ideas happen. I also take great pride in looking for ways to make things fresh and meaningful.

I can help with the planning of events in all manner of ways. Such as recommendations for other venues and suppliers and budget management.
