Hi, I’m Louise and If you are looking for a beautiful, personalised ceremony for one of life’s big moments you are in the right place. I’m based in Four Oaks near Sutton Coldfield and I work as an independent celebrant in the West Midlands, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire. That said, I’m happy to travel anywhere, even abroad given the bus fare!
What I Do…
It’s my privilege to write and deliver meaningful ceremonies for life’s big moments. Weddings, vow renewals, naming’s, funerals, memorial services…even divorce ceremonies. You can include aspects of cultural or religious beliefs such as hymns and prayers. Or they can be completely non-religious. My personal beliefs don’t come into it. I am merely the voice of my clients.

During my early career as a singing teacher, I enjoyed helping people with anxiety and confidence concerns. I also ran a successful national wedding music agency, providing top professional musicians for weddings, funerals and corporate events. Part of my work involved singing at weddings and funerals throughout the UK. I was frustrated by seeing many services that didn’t reflect the people the service was for.
Then, one day I met a lovely celebrant who told me about celebrancy. I immediately knew this was something I needed to do. So, I enrolled on a course. At last I could do something that would really make a difference to people’s lives.
With well over 1500 personalised ceremony’s for one of life’s big moments under my belt, I have built a fine reputation which has led to much of my work now coming through word of mouth.
Spreading happiness, putting people at ease and helping people is where I get my kicks in life. Its all about honesty, kindness, fairness and above all, always saying “yes” wherever I can.
I enjoy doing creative things like cooking and gardening. I also love creating bespoke commemorative decoupage such as the candles I use for unity ceremonies. I’m passionate about gardening and I also love swimming and would be off snowboarding or bungee jumping if it wasn’t for my pesky spinal injury (long story!)
In short, I love working with people from all walks of life and whatever I do, I do to the very highest of standards; with sensitivity, care and joy.
My Qualifications
I qualified as a funeral celebrant in 2015 with Civil Ceremonies Ltd, achieving my Level 3 Diploma. Then after being asked to conduct a number of weddings, the natural progression was to complete a wedding celebrancy qualification with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy. I have also completed a hypnotherapy and mindfulness course.
Additional Services
I am also able to offer the following additional services to anyone who feels they may be helpful:
Mindfulness & Hypnotherapy
Relaxation recordings are available to reduce anxiety and stress levels (free of charge) to my clients as well as sleep recordings to help achieve a better quality of rest. For more information, visit the Mindfulness & Hypnotherapy page.
Singing Services
After studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire of Music I worked many years as a soloist and so I love to lead the hymns and songs at ceremonies if required. I am happy to sing with the resident organist or music system but can also provide my own equipment and backing tracks where needed. For more information, visit the Singing Services page.
