As an experienced solo mezzo-soprano and performance tutor, I am delighted to be able to offer my singing services to clients if desired.
After graduating from Birmingham Conservatoire of Music I had the privilege of working all over England and Europe performing opera, oratorio and recitals. I have also worked on radio and television as a session singer for TV adverts and for Sir Bob Geldof’s Ten Years After Live Aid documentary. My work as a soloist eventually led me to become a celebrant, and many families now ask me to lead the hymns and perform as a soloist for funeral and memorial services in crematoriums, churches and gravesides.
My repertoire includes operatic and religious favourites, as well as lighter music from shows and ballads. I also sing with the brilliant vocal quartet, Quattro Voci, who often perform for events including funerals. I am happy to sing with the resident organist or music system, but can also provide my own equipment and backing tracks where needed.
