Peaky Blinder Wedding Celebrant

Hi I’m Louise, AKA Mad Mariah the celebrant. I conduct Peaky Blinder themed wedding ceremonies.
I go all out into the role by dressing and speaking like a “Brummie” to fit the part. I write scripts (swearing optional) that will make you smile, laugh, and cry, whilst also remembering your love story
and committment to each other. Each one is crafted especially for you.

When I was asked about conducting Peaky Blinders themed weddings I thought I’d died and gone to Dudley. It is one of my favourite ceremony themes to provide, especially in areas around the Black Country, Tipton, Dudley, Halesowen & Birmingham, West Midlands, but do travel further afield.

There was “No Fighting”  for this lovely couple, they didn’t want a classic ceremony they wanted their wedding to be fun and memorable and both love Peaky Blinders

– it was a perfect day for them and their guests were thrilled.

A Wedding with plenty of Swagger, Style & a Dash of Shelby Grit

Are you looking for a ceremony that is really different and full of fun.

Step into the world of the 1920s and 30s—where the suits are sharp, the attitude sharper, and the parties nothing short of legendary. A Peaky Blinders-inspired wedding is more than just a theme. It’s a total experience. One that’s bold, stylish, and completely unforgettable.

Dress to Kill (But hopefully not literally)

For the gents, this is a chance to go full Shelby. Tailored three-piece suits, vintage pocket watches, tie pins, boots polished to a mirror shine—and of course, the iconic flat cap. It’s no surprise this theme is a firm favourite amongst grooms and groomsmen—it’s masculine, classic, and lets them feel like the main man.

For the ladies, it’s all about that vintage glamour. What could be more elegant than flapper-inspired beaded gowns, feathered fascinators, art deco accessories—or a traditional bridal dress styled with a 1920s twist. Elegant, fun, and it all so fabulously photogenic.

The Setting: Straight Out of Small Heath

For the ultimate in authenticity, why not say your vows at the Black Country Living Museum—or Arley Hall in Cheshire the real-life filming locations for the series. Choose atmospheric cobbled streets for period-perfect backdrops or the grandeur of stately rooms. Styling everything as close to 1920s Birmingham as you can get without time travel.

More Than Just a Theme—It’s a Proper Celebration

This isn’t just about looking the part. It’s about creating a day your guests will talk about for years. With a Peaky Blinders wedding, you’re not just getting married—you’re throwing a roaring, smoke-swirled celebration full of character, charm, and just maybe a little bit of naughtiness and mischief.

A Few Ground Rules

  • Style over subtlety? Absolutely.
  • Whiskey over wine? Strongly encouraged.
  • Fighting on the day? possibly!

Ready to Make It Official—Shelby Style?

If you’re after a wedding ceremony that’s meaningful, stylish, and outrageously fun, this might just be the one. So, gather your gang, suit up, boot up and let’s make it a day to remember.
